About Venus

My name is Venus Brown. I was born in Edmonton, London, and moved to Lyon, France when I was 8 years old. Due to living in Lyon for ten years, I became completely immersed in French culture and language, which has shaped a huge part of who I am today. After moving back to the UK at 18 to attend university in Leicester, I realized just how valuable my bilingual background is and how much I enjoy helping others learn. I want to teach French because I know firsthand how enriching it is to speak another language fluently, and I’m passionate about sharing that with others. Helping someone else build their confidence in French and seeing their progress is something I’d find incredibly rewarding.

About the lesson

I’ve spent the last ten years in a French school, so I know what it’s like to learn the language inside and out. While I’m new to tutoring, my experience in a French-speaking environment has taught me what really helps when learning French. I’ve been through the same challenges—like getting the grammar right or nailing the pronunciation—so I understand how tough it can be. My goal is to make learning French fun and practical, and I’ll work with you at your own pace, giving you all the support you need to succeed.
