About Julia
Since I was young, I was excited about learning and going to school. I could not wait to go to class. That all changed when my teacher would give me a boring lesson and would leave me confused. Ever since that point in time, I was not a fan of certain classes. Now that I am in college and have completed all twelve years, that has changed. I had to go through learning all these methods on my own and struggling on my own. I want to help students stray away from the failing grades and do their best. I want them to enjoy themselves while learning and make it fun and give them a reason as to why they should learn. I will do the most to make sure my students get an A on their next test and assignment and had an amazing time in the process of getting there!

My teaching method:
-fun, interactive lessons, no boring work, lets make english fun!
- Games that integrate the topic to keep students interested. Quizlets, kahoots, and many other fun study techniques.
- Interactive powerpoints to keep students interested.
- Notes that students will actually want to use to study off of.
- Learning methods that include fun and real world connections that students can use to remember the information as well as have a deeper grasp on it.
A typical lesson plan:
Usually I will adjust my lesson plan to fit the students' needs. I follow the pattern of reviewing and looking over homework or assignments from the previous nights. I like to then go over all the problems, specifically the questions my students missed in depth and for them to realize where the mistakes were made. Then, I like to go over the plan of the day and the topic. I like to leave about 20 minutes in the end for an overall study session time to lock the information in the students brain. I like to incorporate a fun game, leave lots of room for questions, and do a mini ungraded test to make sure the students really understand the information at hand. I like to keep the powerpoints concise so the students may understand and the notes detailed so they can use it in the future and study the best way possible.
What sets me apart:
When I was in school, I dreaded boring, long, and terribly confusing lessons. I hated when the teacher would make me uninterested and I was left confused. I like to make sure my students want to learn and enjoy doing so in the process. I want to make it fun, interactive, and actually teach them, not to do it just to do it. I understand the struggles of a student because I was one not too long ago. I want to help students learn and prosper and keep them from experiencing what I had to.
