About Tate
My name is Tate Nelson. I have been singing for 11 years in choir and singing solo vocal repertoire for 5 years. I have training in vocal diction and have sung in many different languages. Although I am new to teaching another student how to improve their craft of singing, I am very determined and confident that your student or you will get the best experience possible.

Before the lesson, I ask that the student is refreshed and is in good health (not hungry, has water, in a good headspace). The lesson begins with stretching and making sure that our bodies are in the correct shape to sing (no slouching). We then work on our breathing techniques and how to extend the breath. Next, we do some vocal exercises (they usually depend on each student). Next, the student and I will either work on a song of their choice or I will give them a piece of music that they will practice in the following weeks.
