About Juliana

Hiya! My name is Juliana, a recent graduate in English and Spanish from the University of Oxford. I am keen to tutor since I have a plethora of teaching experience that I would like to utilise to the best of my ability in order to support your learning.

I believe that language learning is a gratifying pursuit, an opinion I am sure you share. Languages, especially in this increasingly technological world, are the gateway to human connection and intercultural exchange.

I hope to be able to develop your language skills in an encouraging environment, leading you to not only excellent results, but a lifelong knowledge of Spanish that can take you to new heights. This is exactly where it has led me so far.

About the lesson

Our GCSE/A-Level lessons will last 1hr. It will be a safe space to overcome challenges native English speakers may face when learning Spanish, from grammar to speaking practice. We will establish your learning objectives each class and work towards them through activities catered to your needs.

I believe the best way to language learning is similar to how I learnt and grew my love of languages. My teaching will thus incorporate interactive elements into theoretical exercises, while also exposing you to practical and cultural components. This practice will increase your interest in the subject and your understanding of how to apply abstract language rules to the real world.

I possess over 3 years of experience teaching, from being a Mentor in Spanish GCSE, to an English Language Assistant and private tutor in Andalucía, which has strengthened my confidence in speaking, listening and writing.

I am very proud of my A* in Spanish at A-Level and would love to support your learning with the knowledge I have. I look forward to meeting you!
