About Andrea
My name is Andy. I am an English-speaking South African and I am deeply interested in words and language. I find teaching to be wonderfully fulfilling, and I enjoy the process of working with someone to build comprehension of a topic together. I love literature and also have a soft spot for grammar. I'd like to teach English language, literature, or tutor topics in linguistics.

I have led in-person and online tutorial classes in linguistics for two years, and also have a TEFL degree (Teaching English as a Foreign Language).
I believe that understanding of a topic comes about through building a connection between teacher and student, as well as building interest in topic. Thus, I value open discussions and a willingness to engage in my classes.
Lessons are typically 45 minutes to an hour, and I am open to teaching a broad range of learners (age/proficiency).
