About Matthew
I was selected to attend an elite boarding school with a STEM focus for the last two years of high school (for free), where I received outstanding marks that allowed me to attend university at no cost, with an additional stipend for living expenses. I graduated with my B.S. in three years, summa cum laude, and earned my master’s degree in one year, also summa cum laude. I currently attend a top 50 law school. In college, I also worked in admissions and therefore have deep insight into how that process works, from both the student and administrative sides. This is beneficial to you regardless of whether you're on the path to college or not! I recognize that we all come from different backgrounds, and I am supportive of all individuals. My lessons are catered to YOU as a student! The first few minutes we meet will be all about goal setting—short-term (help me brainstorm my personal essay topics/finish this ACT practice set) and long-term (help me submit my college apps/score above a 28). What sets me apart? My lived experiences have informed me on a number of topics—from attending an elite STEM boarding school, to my background in policy and working in college admissions, and now attending law school. Whatever your needs, I know I can assist you. My teaching method is all about YOU! Do you prefer someone to work out a problem with you, or watch you work through the problem and provide input afterward? Either way, I’m your guy! My lessons are for high school students and undergraduate students. Undergraduate focus areas include political science, health, economics, policy, and law school prep. For high school students, as someone who achieved a 4.1 GPA and received a full-ride scholarship, I can help with any subject.
