About Mira
Hey, my name is Mira, I'm currently pursuing a Bachelor's in biology at university. Although I am choosing to follow a career in STEM, I also have a passion for English that comes from my personal interests in classic as well as modern literature, and analytical and creative writing, and that is one of the main reasons why I decided to teach it in addition to biology :) I have been doing online tutoring for 2 years and I really enjoy seeing how much more confident my students are at the end of their tutoring, as my goal is for every student I teach to get their target grade, and in some cases, go above them. I consider myself to be a flexible tutor, and although my lessons do follow a plan, I am happy to make arrangements for students who prefer a specific type of teaching, or only looking for a little bit of extra help to consolidate their knowledge. As a tutor my role is to give students as much support as possible, keep them engaged and make sure they get the best quality teaching that they possibly can outside of the classroom to secure the best results by creating a safe and relaxed learning environment.

I offer hour-long lessons in which we focus on building a strong foundation in the subject theory, followed by practice questions from real past papers which we will go through together using the mark scheme so you can understand exactly how to score the highest points with all of your answers. I have been offering online tuition for 2 years now since completing the IB diploma with 43 out of 45 points, with a 7 in both subjects that I teach (English Literature A HL and Biology HL). At GCSE level I teach: English Literature, English Language, Biology, Chemistry At A-Level I teach: English Literature, English Language, Biology At IB level I teach: English Literature, Biology, TOK/Philosophy
