About Maria
I am a performing pianist with interests in chamber music, multimedia collaboration, and creativeprogramming. I believe that music has spent too long being crammed into genres and I love to lead students toward innovative and original music making. I teach all ages and believe that everyone should have access to musical knowledge!

I love to inspire students in their lifelong journey with music, and I strive to teach piano in a way that is accessible, colorful, motivating and explorative. I believe that technical prowess is an important means to achieve the sound we want, and I encourage a holistic, body-aware approach to piano technique (it’s not just our fingers doing the work!) as well as an emphasis on mindfulness and conscious practice.
