About Fazl

I'm a former University of Cambridge and University College London Chemical Engineering student. I grew up with not many privileges being the first generation to attend university whilst also living in a borough within the 90th percentile for crime rates. I have had first hand experience of seeing many young people being unable to fulfil their true potential because they have not had someone to support them in their education and pursuing their passion.

I consider myself grateful for being one of the few that has been to Oxbridge from a disadvantaged background. I want to now help young people achieve the grades and academic success they need to get to where they want to be.

As well as teaching, I can also give careers advice. Having explored many different career paths and opportunities in the last few years, I am able to give sound and realistic advice on medical school applications, management consultant careers and how to land a job in banking.

About the lesson

I am very flexible in my teaching to ensure you learn the best. I have found great previous successes in teaching textbook content using examples and not rushing through to make sure you really understand concepts. I also like providing students with end-of-lesson assessments and worksheets for you to try before your next session. This approach helped me consolidate my knowledge as a student and has certainly helped those who learn from me also.

A typical lesson would be 1 or 2 hours long though I'd be happy to discuss this as I appreciate some people have a shorter and others have a longer focus time span.

I have been a private tutor for the last 6 years. Before being taught by me, one of my students received Level 3 in GCSE maths. After spending 3 months with them, they achieved a Level 7. An A Level Chemistry student improved from grade B to A* after being tutored for 2 months. There are many more success stories, but the best one will be when you improve!

My lessons are for age 11-18.
I teach GCSE maths, biology, chemistry and physics.
I also teach A Level maths, further maths, biology, chemistry.
