About Thanujan

Hi, I'm Thanujan, and I'm passionate about helping students excel in mathematics! Having recently gone through the school system myself, I understand firsthand the challenges and struggles that come with mastering math and preparing for exams. I've experienced the pressure and anxiety of tackling difficult topics, but I've also learned the ins and outs of how to approach problems, develop effective study habits, and, most importantly, succeed in exams.

I achieved a grade 9 in GCSE Mathematics and an A in A-Level Maths, which were not easy feats. They required dedication, the right strategies, and a lot of practice—things I want to share with my students. I know how overwhelming it can be to face exams, but I also know the sense of accomplishment that comes from overcoming those hurdles.

I want to teach because I believe every student has the potential to do well in mathematics with the right support and guidance. My goal is to make math less intimidating and more accessible by breaking down complex concepts and providing a structured approach to learning. I'm here to help you not just pass your exams, but excel in them with confidence. Let's work together to unlock your full potential in mathematics!

My Approach to Tutoring and How I Teach My Classes

Techniques and Teaching Methodology
I believe in a personalized approach to tutoring, tailored to each student's unique learning style and needs. My lessons are conducted over Zoom, ensuring a flexible and convenient learning environment. I focus on ensuring the student fully understands the material and knows how to excel in each topic. To track progress and reinforce learning, I conduct weekly small tests and provide constructive feedback. After every lesson, I provide detailed updates to parents on their child's progress, highlighting areas of improvement and success. I am committed to seeing noticeable improvements every week.

Typical Length of a Lesson
Each lesson typically lasts one hour, providing enough time to cover new material, review previous topics, and address any questions or difficulties. This structure helps maintain focus and engagement while allowing for thorough exploration of the subject matter.

Qualifications and Experience
I am an experienced tutor with a strong background in mathematics, having tutored several students in the subject. My students have consistently given positive feedback about my tutoring style and the results they have achieved. I achieved a grade 9 in GCSE Mathematics and an A in A-Level Maths, which reflects my deep understanding of the subject.
