About Alexis

As a tutor, I always aim to create a learning environment where students feel comfortable, motivated, and confident in asking questions. I understand that many students struggle with math because they lose confidence easily, so I focus on being patient, supportive, and encouraging throughout every lesson.

I take my role professionally by preparing lessons carefully, arriving on time, and making sure each session is organized and productive. I explain concepts clearly and adjust my teaching methods based on the student’s learning style and pace. My goal is not only to help students solve problems but also to help them truly understand the concepts behind them.

Although I keep lessons friendly and engaging, I also maintain professionalism by communicating respectfully, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring that students stay focused and motivated during class. I believe consistency, patience, and positive guidance are important in helping students improve academically.

What students and parents can expect from me is dedication, reliability, and genuine support. I am committed to helping learners build stronger math skills, improve their performance in school, and gain the confidence to solve problems independently.

About the lesson

Hello! My name is Alexis Abbang, and I am a passionate math tutor with experience teaching students in a patient, engaging, and supportive way. My teaching method focuses on making math simple and easy to understand by breaking complex topics into smaller steps. I encourage students to ask questions and participate actively during lessons so they can build confidence while learning.

My teaching techniques include step-by-step explanations, guided practice, real-life examples, and interactive problem-solving activities. I also adapt my teaching style depending on the student’s learning pace and needs. For younger learners, I use visual aids and simple strategies, while for older students, I focus more on logic, analytical thinking, and exam preparation.

A typical lesson usually starts with a short review of previous topics to strengthen understanding. Then, I introduce the new lesson with clear explanations and examples. After that, we work together on practice problems before the student tries solving independently. I always end the lesson with feedback, tips, and a quick summary to make sure the student fully understands the topic.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my patience, enthusiasm, and ability to create a comfortable learning environment. I believe students learn best when they feel encouraged rather than pressured. I focus not only on getting the correct answer but also on helping students understand the process and develop confidence in their abilities.

My lessons are mainly for elementary and junior high school students, especially those who need help with basic mathematics, arithmetic, fractions, regrouping, algebra, and linear equations. I also assist students who are preparing for quizzes, exams, assignments, or simply want to improve their math skills and confidence in class.
