About Brian
Everyone learns a little bit differently. We all get caught up on different things. A roadblock for one person is a stepping stone for another person, and vice versa. The trick is learning what your stepping stones are teaching you how to identify them while working on assignments. It is overwhelming to be taking a test or working on an assignment and feel unprepared for the problems ahead - this can stunt your ability to think and will make you feel even worse about your situation. The simplest solution is having someone help learn to identify those problems that cause uneasiness and then implement solutions to work around them.

Mastery of the fundamentals are so often overlooked and seen as something that a struggling student will... "pick up eventually".
But this faulty line of thinking costs many students the ability to thrive and/or enjoy learning across a variety of subjects.
My goal as a tutor is understand how you learn best, and apply techniques that allow you to thrive, master and, perhaps someday, enjoy learning about math .
