About Meghan

Hi there! I hope you are having a wonderful year so far.

My name is Meghan and I am from South Africa.

I am a qualified English, geography and History teacher.
I have majored in English literature and English Language, History and Geography.
A major passion of mine is Teaching and helping others learn.
Understanding how the world around us is interpreted is so amazing and opens many doors in not only the working-world , but the social world too.
I am a firm believer in the saying of “ there is no such thing as failure , only feedback”.
I aim to provide constructive feedback and support to all learners.
I am to offer corrections and explanations for all questions pertaining to these subjects.
I find joy in helping others gain proficiency in a in the subjects that interest them so that it can simplify and impact their lives in any sphere/
For me , education is a global language , and teaching allows me to empower individuals with the ability to communicate effectively across boarders and cultures.

Greetings! I'm Meghan , an enthusiastic and dedicated English , History and geography teacher from South Africa with over 4 years of experience empowering students to achieve their language learning goals. With a solid foundation in education and a passion for teaching, I specialize in providing dynamic and engaging online classes tailored to individual student needs.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English as well as a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), where I achieved honours in linguistics, language acquisition, and teaching methodologies, Geography and History.

Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of teaching English, History and Geography to diverse groups of learners, ranging from beginners to advanced proficiency levels. My experience includes:
- Conducting one-on-one sessions and group classes, fostering a supportive and interactive learning environment.
- Designing custom lesson plans tailored to meet each student's unique learning style, goals, and interests.
Incorporating a variety of multimedia resources, including videos, games, and authentic materials, to keep lessons engaging and relevant.

I can speak and understand Afrikaans too.

I have also had the honour of representing my country at the Tokyo Olympic Games. I have played many sports such as swimming , hockey , athletics and chess , and have excelled in most. I am a keen sports lover and am always up to date!
