My teaching mindset is focused on building a solid foundation of understanding, not just on memorizing formulas. I believe that students build true confidence when they can grasp the "why" behind the concepts in a subject. Many students struggle, because they have gaps in their knowledge from previous grades. I use a diagnostic approach to identify these specific gaps and then build a personalized learning plan to fill them and ensure students thrive.
My approach is to empower students to become independent problem-solvers. I don't just solve problems for them; I guide them through a step-by-step process using specific questioning. This method encourages students to be critical thinkers and discover the solutions themselves. This not only helps them with their current work but also equips them with the skills to tackle future challenges on their own.
