About Olesia

I am an A-level student in Newcastle upon Tyne and I am aspiring to study Medicine at university. I study Biology, Chemistry and Maths and I have an immense passion for my chosen subjects. This has not always been so: As a pre-GCSE student, I have never been much of a Science person, until I discovered a different method of learning. It was then when my whole perspective changed and I’ve developed a profound understanding of the subject, despite previously believing it to be too difficult. I want to be a tutor because I am eager for you to see Science and Maths from my perspective as well. The best aspect of my job is seeing my students grow and develop their academic skills and interests.

About the lesson

I prioritise inspiring passion in the subjects above all else: Science and Maths are not boring or complicated, you just haven’t been taught it with the right analogy. I aim to break down difficult concepts into more digestible pieces using simple analogies from everyday life, that will build a memorable and long-lasting image of the topic. I want my students to have fun, too - my lessons are highly interactive as I prefer discussion-based learning where students can develop their critical thinking.
