About Alexander
I have undergraduate degrees from the University of Oxford and Birkbeck College, and a masters degree in economics from the Stockholm School of Economics.
I am an experienced teacher and tutor. My experience includes working as a teaching assistant in microeconomics at the Stockholm School of Economics, where I ran seminars for undergraduates, and marked exam papers.
More broadly, I have worked part-time as a maths, economics and English tutor over the past 3 years. My students have been largely been of school age - 9 to 18 - however I'd be really interested to take on adult learners in the future.
Students come to me with a range of different needs and ambitions, and I'm more than happy to adapt my approach to suit the situation. Past pupils of mine have been in need of anything from a short 'refresher' course in economics, to long-term supplementary lessons alongside school - and everything in between.

As someone who practices economics everyday for my job, I can help bring academic economics alive for you. I'll show you how the tools and techniques that you are learning can be applied in a professional context.
I'm an experienced data scientist, and I really think being able to code is an important part of being an economist. I like to develop my students' ability in Excel, R, and Python. I can't understate how useful learning to code is!
I love maths, and am enthusiastic about explaining how to use maths to understand economics.
Lastly, I'm a kind and enthusiastic person - I'll really try to make sure you enjoy your lessons with me :)
