About Daniel

I was born in Seoul, Korea, and studied there until high school. I then moved to Canada and earned my bachelor's degree from the University of Toronto. I can only speak standard Korean (So if you're interested in learning regional dialects, I might not be the right teacher for you ;) While at university, I also had the opportunity to take advanced Korean classes (Korean Morpheme & Phonetics) as electives.

I have experience tutoring in math, computer programming, and Korean. My teaching approach is goal-oriented to ensure your time is well-spent. However, we will also have a fun time exploring Korean culture, history, food, and more.

About the lesson

In my classes, you will learn to speak, read, and write Korean. Each lesson will be filled with new material, but I will always review previous work and reinforce learning so that you can truly master the content.

I will adapt to your pace while simultaneously providing a gentle push to ensure continual progress every day. The ultimate goal is for you to enjoy the process of learning; before you know it, your proficiency in Korean will have improved significantly!

I offer instruction for all levels of learners - from absolute beginners to university students and even those seeking business-level proficiency.

Perfect! My first lesson with Daniel was very good. He is clear and provides a good amount of detail during the lesson, and he was very open to my numerous questions. I appreciate that he works hard to incorporate aspects of Korean culture into the lessons as well, particularly as I'm also looking to improve my cultural literacy for future work.
