About Yuliia
I am a qualified mathematics tutor with a **Master’s degree in Applied Physics and Nanomaterials** and extensive experience in mathematics and science education.
My own academic journey has taken me to different educational institutions and countries, giving me a broad understanding of different learning systems and teaching approaches. I have studied and participated in educational programs in Ukraine, Poland, Denmark and other European countries, and I have experience working with students from different cultural and educational backgrounds.
I have been teaching mathematics for many years, working with students of different ages, levels, and goals — from strengthening basic mathematical skills to preparing for international exams and university admission.
My scientific background helps me explain mathematics logically and clearly, while my international educational experience allows me to adapt my teaching style to each student's needs.
I am patient, supportive, and focused on helping students not only improve their results, but also become more confident and independent in mathematics.

I believe that mathematics becomes much easier when you understand **why** something works, rather than simply memorizing formulas. My goal is to help students develop clear mathematical thinking, confidence, and the ability to solve unfamiliar problems independently.
I adapt every lesson to the student's level, learning style, and goals. I use:
* clear step-by-step explanations;
* practical examples and visual explanations;
* guided problem-solving, where we work through the logic together;
* targeted exercises to identify and improve weak areas;
* exam-style questions and timed practice when preparing for an exam;
* regular revision to make sure new knowledge is retained.
I encourage students to ask questions and explain their own reasoning. Making mistakes is a normal and useful part of learning — we use them to understand what needs more practice.
A typical lesson usually includes:
1. **Quick revision** of previously learned material.
2. **Introduction of a new topic** with a simple explanation and examples.
3. **Guided practice** — we solve several problems together.
4. **Independent practice** — the student applies the method on their own.
5. **Review and feedback** — we identify mistakes, clarify difficult points, and summarize the key ideas.
6. **Homework or additional practice**, when appropriate.
For exam preparation, I also include diagnostic tests, exam-style exercises, time-management strategies, and regular progress checks.
I have experience teaching students with very different backgrounds and levels — from students who need to rebuild their mathematical foundations to those preparing for challenging international exams.
I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. I first identify **what the student already knows, where the gaps are, and what their specific goal is**, and then build the lessons around that.
My aim is not only to help students get the correct answer, but to teach them **how to think mathematically and solve problems independently**.
I work with:
* school students from approximately **Grade 5 to Grade 12**;
* students preparing for **A-Level Mathematics, IB Mathematics, GCSE, SAT, GMAT, GRE and other mathematics exams**;
* students preparing for university entrance exams;
* students who want to improve their general mathematical skills;
* students who need to rebuild their foundations in arithmetic, algebra, functions, geometry or calculus;
* students who enjoy mathematics and want to work on more challenging or olympiad-style problems.
Lessons are available in **English or Ukrainian**, depending on the student's preference.
