About Jack

A public sector professional with over six years’ experience working across the UK and Scottish civil service. I specialise in helping people develop clear, effective applications, build confidence for interviews, and navigate career transitions with practical, honest advice. Whether you’re aiming to enter the civil service, move within public sector roles, or explore new opportunities, I’ll work with you to unlock your potential and help you stand out from the crowd. My approach is supportive and tailored to your needs — from improving CVs and STAR examples to mock interviews and career planning. I bring real recruitment experience and a deep understanding of what hiring managers seek, especially within public sector frameworks. Outside of work, I’m a keen guitar player and enjoy coaching others, so I know the value of patience, practice, and progress. Sessions are flexible, online, and designed to focus on your goals—there is no jargon or fluff, just practical steps you can take to get closer to your dream role.

I offer tailored coaching to help you strengthen your CV, improve applications, and build confidence for interviews — whether you’re starting out, returning to work, or aiming for promotion. I bring experience from both public and private sectors, with a strong track record in recruitment, stakeholder engagement and people development. My approach is practical, fair and focused on real progress. I also offer specialist insight into civil service and public sector recruitment, including STAR examples and Success Profiles. Sessions are flexible and designed around your goals, or desired posting.

My hourly rate is fully inclusive — we can use the time however suits you best, whether that’s reviewing a CV, drafting STAR examples, preparing for interviews, or talking through your career goals. Each session is flexible and focused on making meaningful progress. And no — I won’t be watching the clock or charging extra if we run 10–15 minutes over. The aim is to leave you with real clarity and confidence, not stress about the clock.
