About Riya
I've been both a tutor and student for a long time, so I'm familiar with many different learning styles and understand and support my students' desire to succeed. I strive to develop the right learning plan for each individual. My students' success is my success, and I plan to help them reach it.
Outside of university and tutoring, I love running, dancing, and learning new recipes!

I have expertise with standardized testing (SAT/ACT), having earned perfect scores myself, as well as AP exams, sciences, pre-calculus math, English, and Spanish. I love introducing new, innovative methods and "tricks" to students to help them with understanding and quickly applying concepts. My usual approach to teaching includes first identifying areas for growth, improving skills and understanding, then increasing efficiency, and re-examining abilities at the end. This approach, coupled with individualized teaching, helps grow knowledge and skills, and increase confidence!
