About Clare

My role as a tutor is to equip you with new skills, but more importantly, I aim to increase your confidence. During high school, I didn’t have access to tutoring or external support, and I believe it’s really valuable in reducing anxiety to focus on what matters.

Having skills and knowledge in your subjects is important only as far as it helps you feel sure of yourself! Confidence is equally as important as academic skills in my approach to teaching and learning.

About the lesson

My approach centres the student and their individual needs, whether that’s a skills-based or subject-based lesson structure. I believe that listening to and caring about students’ ideas is truly the best way to develop a plan suited to their unique learning style. I also put together tailored resources where appropriate to reinforce key concepts. No two students are the same, so no two lessons are the same!
