About Bella

I am a Year 12 student currently studying Maths, Economics, Religious Studies, and EPQ. At GCSE I achieved 11 grade 9’s, being one of the highest set of results in my cohort. I understand the challenges students face when set with revision and the techniques needed to overcome these.

Maths can be difficult when concepts aren’t fully understood, especially as topics become more complex and interconnected. I focus on explaining ideas in a clear, logical way, breaking down problems into more manageable steps so students can see how and why methods work, rather than just memorising them.

My approach centres on building both confidence and independence, helping students feel more comfortable tackling unfamiliar questions and applying their knowledge in exams.

I have volunteered to offer GCSE maths students tutoring in my school and have completed over 50 hours of this tutoring, giving me experience and an understanding of how students best learn.

About the lesson

I am an A-level student offering supportive and effective Maths tutoring for GCSE students who want to improve their understanding, build confidence, and achieve higher grades. My approach focuses on making difficult topics more accessible by explaining concepts step by step and helping students apply them through carefully chosen practice questions.

Each lesson will be tailored to the individual student, allowing us to focus on weaker areas while reinforcing key skills. I place particular emphasis on exam technique, showing students how to approach different question types and avoid making common mistakes. Lessons are designed to be calm and encouraging, so students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their confidence over time.

Sessions will usually begin with a brief recap of previous work and retrieval practice to ensure previous topics are not forgotten, followed by targeted practice and exam-style questions. Having achieved both 100% in Maths and a grade 9 in Further Maths at GCSE, I aim to share effective methods and revision strategies that genuinely help make a difference in exams.

Lessons are typically one hour and can be tailored to suit each student’s needs, whether that be focused topic support, homework help, or exam preparation. Sessions are available through Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or Google Meet.
