About Christopher
I am a communicative individual who believes that the most important goal for a tutor is to give confidence to a student and that with determination, exams are not impossible to pass and with dedication high grades can be achieved. I am patient and will ensure that the student understands the lesson content. I am not afraid to criticise written work as I believe this is the way to improve student's grades. As a father of 3 children (including a son who will be sitting his exams in the summer of 2025) I have a rapport with students and am approachable with a sense of humour.

I have been teaching GCSE Business Studies for 20 years at an independent college. For the academic year 2024, 24/28 of my students (a mix of English and international students achieved a grade 4 or above (pass grade). I focus on theory with visual aids (by powerpoint) allowing students to memorize key points and to record them. At the end of each module I give exam practice questions so that students can practice the theory taught by answering written questions. This measures progress and highlights areas of weakness. I own a property rental portfolio business and have also worked in various areas of the private sector including Elvis Presley Enterprises (USA), Polish Airlines (London) and Yokosuka High School (Japan). I often bring these experiences to support the theories taught and have found that this helps students remember the lesson content.
