About Sophie
I am currently on my gap year, hoping to attend the University of Glasgow next year to study English Literature.
After achieving well in my GCSEs, I decided to take English Literature, Film Studies, and Sociology at A-Level. I have now completed all the exams, awaiting results with predictions of AAB.
From my love of English Literature and my future aspirations to become an English teacher, I started tutoring at the end of February 2026. Since then, I have now tutored students varying from Year 7 to Year 11.

Hi, I am Sophie and I have been tutoring English for several months! My lessons include specific topic focuses that the student struggles most with, aiding them to a great understanding of English as a whole. After the first few sessions, I provide homework each week for the student to go over, focused on the subject we have discussed. These tasks target their weaknesses and strengthen their understanding of challenging topics.
I offer both weekly and monthly lesson slots, available between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM (subject to availability). I strive to be as flexible as possible, so if you require an earlier or later lesson on occasion, I will do my best to accommodate your schedule.
To help you determine whether my tutoring is the right fit for you, I offer a complimentary introductory lesson, completely free of charge. This session provides an opportunity for us to meet, discuss the student’s learning objectives, assess their current level, and develop a personalised learning plan tailored to their individual needs before any commitment is made.
