About Monty
I am a gap year student with a strong academic background. I work closely alongside mark schemes, specifications and exam boards to make sure I can adequately facilitate learning.
Maths, Economics and Sciences have had me interested from young, and I am excited to pass my knowledge to others in the future. In recent years, I have been increasingly engaged in philosophical arguments, eventually taking philosophy as an A-Level subject.
I got into tutoring because I remember exactly what it's like sitting exams that feel high-stakes, and how much a calm, clear explanation from someone who's recently been through it can change things. I'm reliable, easy to talk to, and take it seriously when a student and their parents are trusting me with their results.

Lessons are 45 minutes as standard, with 1:30 double lessons available for anyone who wants to work through a full topic or past paper in one sitting. I run each session diagnostically — getting the student to talk through their working first so I can see exactly where things are breaking down, then rebuilding from there with worked examples rather than just re-explaining what's already in the textbook.
I'm patient, methodical, and genuinely enjoy the moment something clicks. Lessons are all online, so we can get started whenever suits — no travel time eating into the session.
I teach Year 10 and 11 students looking to boost their knowledge before they sit their GCSEs.
