About Michael
Hello! My name is Michael and I am a current medical student at the University of Sydney I have sat the GAMSAT twice and most recently scored an unweighted 73 (96th percentile) in March 2023 with a Section 2 score of 86 (99.5th percentile). In between my two sittings I improved my section 2 score by 19 despite coming from a non-humanities and non-English background! My success in GAMSAT S2 has subsequently helped me to achieve highly in another medical school admission test, the CASPER (4th quartile). The GAMSAT is a hard exam, and everyone's journey to their desired score is different. I am here to help you achieve your goals in the most efficient and sustainable manner.

I believe that consistency is key to maximizing your GAMSAT potential, as the timing and psychological stress of GAMSAT cause many applicants to score near their floor rather than their ceiling. To be a consistent high-scorer, I believe that your writing should be simple, insightful, relevant, and authentic. I can help you break down and address the building blocks I think apply to each highly-scoring GAMSAT essay, namely: Planning, Essay and paragraph structure, Contention and Evidence generation, Analysis of ideas, Reflection, Mindset, and Exam technique. My aim is to help you express YOUR authentic writing style and ideas within the confines of the psychometric properties and effective communication that ACER want you to demonstrate. Regardless of whether English is your first language, whether you come from a humanities background, or whether you have prior GAMSAT experience, I am sure you can reach or even surpass my score. Our lessons will be held over Zoom, and I am happy to adjust our lesson duration and/or structure based on your study needs and ability. I have access to a wide range of GAMSAT resources to complement my own methodology/idea bank, though I am willing to put in the time to help you create your own if you wish.
