About Harrison

About Me

Hi there! I’m a passionate programmer and game developer with a degree in Game Development from Norwich University of the Arts. I have over 3 years of experience with C++ programming inside Unreal Engine, and I’m also skilled in Python for general programming tasks.
Currently, I’m collaborating on an indie game project with a team of talented developers I graduated with — so where I'm the lead designer and developer. Alongside development, I’ve discovered I genuinely enjoy teaching and mentoring others, whether you're just starting or looking to sharpen your skills.

My approach to tutoring is friendly, patient, and flexible. I believe everyone can learn to code with the right guidance, and I’m committed to helping you build confidence and reach your goals at your own pace.

Whether you're a beginner curious about Unreal Engine or a programmer looking to level up, I'm here to help!

My lessons are designed to be flexible, practical, and tailored to your individual needs. Whether you're brand new to programming or looking to deepen your skills in Unreal Engine or Python, I’ll meet you where you’re at.

Here's what you can expect:

Personalized Approach: We’ll start by discussing your goals, experience level, and what you want to achieve. Every lesson will be customized around your pace and interests.

Hands-On Learning: I believe the best way to learn programming is by doing and understanding concepts. We’ll work through real examples, small projects, and practical exercises you can apply outside of lessons.

Clear Explanations: I aim to break down complex ideas into simple, understandable steps — no overwhelming jargon.

Support Between Lessons: Got a quick question or stuck on something? I’m happy to offer light support between sessions to keep you moving forward.

Focus on Confidence: Beyond just the technical skills, I want you to feel confident experimenting, problem-solving, and building your own projects.

Lessons can be one-off for specific help, or we can set up a longer plan if you want to work toward bigger goals like completing a project, building a portfolio, or preparing for a career in game development.
