About Nicolas

I've been working for the last year and a half as a teaching assistant at Vancouver Film School, and before that I worked for a year and a half as a Freelance Generalist Game Artist, creating 3D & 2D assets for published games.

I've created assets for over 3 published Games & 2 movies, as well as many unpublished personal projects.

I enjoy taking on students who have no prior experience because, like most people, I started without even knowing what software the industry uses. Questions are free, even if lessons aren't, so don't be afraid to reach out! I'm always happy to help.

About the lesson

Game Design Teaching Assistant w/ 1.5 years experience in Teaching 3D Modeling, UV Unwrapping, & Animating through Autodesk Maya. Additionally, Illustration & Editing through Photoshop, Texture Creation in Substance Painter, Game Design, and more.

My experience in teaching these concepts ranges from complete novices to industry-ready professionals, with 3D Modeling as my specialty.

I know Autodesk Maya, Zbrush, Substance Painter, Adobe Photoshop, and more.

Nicolas is great! I was his student for a few classes at Vancouver Film School and he made the difference between being completely lost during my classes and actually completing my assignments.

He has a good way of explaining things that makes the difficult curriculum easy to understand. Also a total sweetie!

I'd recommend him to anyone who wants to learn the basics, or something a bit more advanced. Really fun to talk design with as well.
