About Liam

I graduated from Italia Conti with 1st in Acting in 2017. After teaching accents and public speaking for a little over two years now I've seen how the tools and skills I learnt at drama school are so desperately lacking in the wider world. Something clients will say often when they first start training with me is they had no idea they'd been speaking or breathing wrong their entire lives and they're quite surprised by this. But it's not that what they're doing is 'wrong' it's just that they never understood the enormous wealth of possibilities they had within them all this time. That's something I really love about this work. Anyone can take a dive into the practices I teach and it can completely transform the way that person sees themselves and the way they are seen by others. About the lesson

Hello! In an age of AI automating more and more of the creative processes previously exclusive to humans, there’s one thing that is becoming increasingly valuable. You! A human! Your ability to communicate your personality, your passion, and your uniqueness is an appreciating asset. Your skill in this area is crucial to setting yourself apart from the rest of the market and creating lasting relationships with your customers. Yet so many business owners spend an enormous amount of time on their product and company and leave this area dangerously underdeveloped. You may have already tried getting in front of a camera and running into the following problems: What to say and how to say it? Impostor syndrome. Feeling like some cheesy TikTok influencer. Low, monotonous voice. Stiff body language. Message too confusing or long. Saying erm, like, you know. What’s the best lighting? What’s the best camera angle? Hating the way you look and sound. Suddenly, the message you were trying to get out is lost in the mire of all these bad communication habits and difficulties. In classes we will workshop content you would like to create whether you have a script or not. We unpick the distracting habits and capitalise on your strengths all while developing your ability to speak about your subject in a way that builds trust with your customers and keeps them engaged. We’ll work together to make you comfortable in front of the camera in any capacity: A filmed ad for the internet or TV. Social media content for Instagram, Facebook or TikTok. Video for a course. Podcasting. Filming a YouTube channel. Also included in the training: -Speaker profile- a working document that is updated every class to include what we covered, the areas you need to focus on and the steps to carry out in practice to consolidate the lesson. -WhatsApp access- to support you in your accent transformation I am available to you via WhatsApp. If you’re rehearsing or have finished a clip and want my opinion just send it over and I’ll give you feedback shortly. -Voice strengthening- Obviously articulation and pronunciation is a huge component to learning an accent and will improve greatly with this training. As will the other parts of the voice; resonance, breath and tension, which we will also cover at a basic level on our way through the course. -Public speaking skills- If you decide you would like to work a little more on your speaking skills in general during the lessons we can pivot and focus more on that. How to have an engaging voice, storytelling, pitch, pause, tone, body language, interview skills. Any or all of these are available at any time should you wish to improve these areas also. -Tongue twisters and articulation drills. -A complete vocal warm-up sequence. -Breath exercises to build strong support for your voice. -Stretches and exercises to strengthen and relax the articulators. Perfect! I had an initial meeting with Liam. He really understood my concerns and was able to give me exercises to work on changing the way I communicate. The lesson was also fun and Liam was very easy to get on with. I will be booking another lesson with him in the next few days.
