About Alice
Hello! I’m Alice – a passionate, friendly, and experienced music teacher with over a decade of private and school-based teaching practice. I specialise in piano, vocals, and music theory, and enjoy helping my students grow in their musical skill, creativity, and confidence.
I hold a First-Class Bachelor's degree in Music and a First-Class Master’s degree in Composition and Sonic Art, and I’m currently studying for a PhD in Music Composition. My academic background gives me a deep understanding of both practical and theoretical music, which I aim to integrate into all of my lessons in a fun and accessible way.

I offer music theory lessons up to Grade 8 (ABRSM or equivalent), whether you’re studying for exams, preparing for GCSE/A-Level Music, or simply want to understand the ‘why’ behind the music you love to play or sing. I can also integrate theory naturally into instrumental or vocal lessons as needed.
I can also provide help with composition and songwriting methods, or help with research into musicology or deeper dives into particular styles and periods of music.
My teaching style is student-led, flexible, and encouraging. I believe that everyone learns differently, and my priority is to adapt to each individual’s goals, pace, and preferred learning style. I strive to make every lesson inspiring, supportive, and musically tailored to each student.
