Sam is currently tutoring my SEN daughter in English Language. I cannot begin to thank him for how incredibly patient and creative he is. I did listen in on the first sessions. His reflexive ability to accommodate her needs, even remotely, is extraordinary. We had a brief chat about her needs prior to her being tutored, and I was truly awed by how he built what we had discussed into his lesson plans.
She hates cameras, for instance, so he has been teaching via shared screens and speaker phone. He simply pauses if she has a sensory need and waits for her to return.
In terms of curriculum, he is responsive to ability and has already advanced my KS3 daughter to KS4 purely by being able to talk to her on her wavelength and recognise her native abilities within her neurodivergence and work to support that.
He is amazing. Would recommend to anyone.
