About Jane

I have a master's degree in Theoretical Physics (Maths and Physics) and graduated from University of Cambridge with my PGCE and qualified teacher status. I am currently based in Wokingham and teach in Maidenhead. I am now a full-time teacher for KS3 to A-level Physics. I am a patient, kind and understanding tutor who puts the student first and takes into consideration their own personal circumstances and levels of understanding to create a bespoke programme for them.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is always pupil-first and I use a variety of resources and media to support the students’ learning which is bespoke to their needs. My passion is for encouraging the pupil to gain a deep understanding of difficult physics topics so they are able to achieve the best of their potential. I have access to a large range of exclusive teaching resources as I am a full-time physics teacher at a local secondary school. This will surely benefit the pupil greatly. Before becoming a teacher, I was a theoretical physics researcher at the University of Surrey and also a science-communicator. This broad range of experience allows me to bring a variety of teaching techniques to my tutee to make my lessons engaging and interesting. I hope to hear from you soon.

Details

£40 per 70 minute lesson. The reason I offer 70 minute lessons is so the first 10 minutes can be spent covering last lesson’s material. I can travel to student home but charge a travel fee depending upon location. I offer a 30 minute free lesson and this will be more like a consultation to understand the pupil’s needs and get to know each other better before you decide to go ahead with paid lessons.
