About Evelyn
I am a full time student in their second year of college who takes English literature. I like to embrace the complexity literature has and achieve as well as I can in the subject. In secondary, English was one of my top lessons and I achieved a grade nine in creative writing which I wrote from a picture of a food market. I see myself as a well spoken person who is open to a lot of perspectives and opinions and believes there is more than one meta narrative. I am good at descriptions and depictions and can really help people to focus on certain perspectives helpful for their writing. I can also help people incorporate different ideas and build on them to improve their work.

My lessons will be varied depending on what there is to focus on. An example would be revision sessions with flash cards and other revision tactics with a helping hand meaning you gradually become more confident in your English. For creative writing, I will annotate work and mark writing you’ve done in full detail on how to zoom in and out of perspective along with learning other techniques that will gradually come to mind the more we do. I will also give alternatives to adjectives and help you find a gradual increase in your vocabulary as well as teaching correct grammar and how to use it when appropriate. I will be open to questions about work whenever needed and will support you during the process.
