Hi, I’m Laura! A qualified teacher with over 10 years of classroom and tutoring experience, working as a one-on-one and group tutor. I specialize in working with primary school students (Prep/Kindergarten – Year 6, across NSW and QLD), helping them build strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, reading, and writing — all through remote online lessons. I understand the curriculum expectations and know how to use digital tools to support and guide children effectively in a remote learning space. I create a warm, encouraging environment where children feel comfortable learning online. Each session is tailored to your child’s unique strengths, challenges, and learning style. I use a mix of proven teaching strategies, interactive activities, and positive reinforcement to make online learning both engaging and effective.

About the lesson

Lesson structure A typical remote lesson runs for 45–60 minutes, depending on the child’s age and attention span. Sessions begin with a quick confidence-boosting activity, move into focused skill practice, and finish with a fun consolidation task to lock in learning — all designed to work seamlessly in an online setting. Who my lessons are for My lessons are designed for primary-aged students (including ESL learners) who need extra help with schoolwork, want to build confidence in reading, writing, or math, or benefit from personalized one-on-one support — all delivered conveniently online. Oh my goodness, Laura is AMAZING! She has tutored all four of my girls for years — from my four year old right up to my twelve year old — both in person and online (especially through COVID). The girls were obsessed with her lessons, they honestly couldn’t wait for tutoring afternoons and would be upset if it didn’t happen!

Laura made learning so much fun with Reading Eggs, mathletics, and all kinds of interactive activities. She completely turned things around for one of my daughters who was failing maths — within three months she was top of her class! Even their teachers commented on how quickly they’d accelerated.

We still use Laura to this day, and I honestly couldn’t imagine a better tutor. She’s simply the best!

5 Hour Package = 5% off! 10 Hour Package = 10% off! I offer a school pick-up option within 10km of Chapel Hill for $30. After pick-up, children come to my home for their tutoring session. Families can choose between: Group tutoring – $40 per child, per hour. One-to-one tutoring – $60 per hour. This service is currently full, but I expect to have more availability from October.
