About Emily
Hi! My name is Emily, I graduated with a BA in biological anthropology and a minor in Spanish from the University of Hawaii at Manoa 2019. In undergrad, I focused my research in primatology and paleo-anthropology. During this time I conducted independent research in Borneo where I studied behavioral ecology of rehabilitated orangutans. I also interned at Bishop museum in the department of archaeology. Finally, I was the research assistant in an osteology lab where I identified organized over 200 faunal specimens which are now used to teach undergraduates at UHM. Since then, I have worked as a Pacific Island archaeologist as both a writer and a field technician for two years. I will begin my Master's in biological anthropology (with a focus in primate evolution) at the University of Auckland in New Zealand in January 2022.
