About Daniela

Hi! I’m Daniela, originally from Colombia and currently based in Canada.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and a professional background in communications, so language, storytelling, and the way we express ourselves have always been a big part of my world.
One of the things I love most about Spanish is how much it can change depending on the country, the situation, and even the person you’re talking to. The words we choose, the expressions we use, and the meaning behind them can tell you so much about a culture — and I love sharing those little details with others.

Outside of work, I’m a big foodie and I can easily get into a good conversation about culture, current events, or why the same word can mean something completely different depending on where you are.
I’m friendly, curious, and easygoing, and I genuinely enjoy meeting people, hearing their stories, and exchanging perspectives. I’m always up for a good conversation and learning something new along the way.

About the lesson

My lessons are all about helping you feel comfortable actually using Spanish. We’ll focus on conversation, pronunciation, useful vocabulary, and the kind of Spanish you can use in everyday situations.

I’ll also help you understand the expressions, cultural context, and little details that don’t always make it into a textbook. You’ll learn not only what to say, but also how and when people actually use it. And, of course, I can bring a Colombian touch to our lessons with expressions, slang, and cultural insights from my own background.

Lessons will be adapted to your level and goals. Whether you’re starting from scratch, want more conversation practice, have a trip coming up and want to feel prepared, or simply want to feel more comfortable speaking Spanish, we’ll focus on what’s most useful for you.

Expect a relaxed and encouraging space where making mistakes is part of learning. We’ll talk, practice with everyday situations, work on pronunciation, and build your Spanish step by step!
