About Varsha

Hi! I’m Varsha, and my approach to tutoring is built on the belief that everyone can succeed with the right support. My background includes a mix of roles, from serving as a Lecturer at Kaplan International College to working as an Educational Observer at Birmingham Newman University. During my time at Uxbridge College, I had the privilege of guiding GCSE and A-Level students through their exams and BTEC qualifications.

I am currently a PhD offer holder at SOAS and am nearly finished with my professional Teaching Diploma, which keeps me focused on the best ways to help people learn.

Instead of just lecturing, I use a scaffolding method to build your knowledge bit by bit and flipped learning to make sure you are actively involved in every session.

I have even been lucky enough to win a Best Dissertation award and present my research at Columbia University, but my favourite part of the job is still that moment when a student finally feels confident in a subject they used to find difficult.

Whether you are tackling GCSEs, A levels, or a long dissertation, I’m here to provide honest, patient, and down-to-earth support to help you get the grades you need.

About the lesson

Hi! I’m Varsha, and I’m here to help you stop worrying about your exams and start succeeding. Whether you’re struggling with GCSEs, stressed about the GRE, or stuck on a University dissertation, I have the experience to get you to the finish line.

I’m a professional University Lecturer and a PhD scholar. I’ve won awards for my research at SOAS University of London, and I’ve even presented my work at Columbia University in New York. I’ve also worked with UN Women UK and helped students at Uxbridge College pass their exams with confidence.

How I Teach (The "Varsha Method")

Super Simple Explanations: I take hard topics in Business and Social Sciences and break them down so they finally make sense.

Step-by-Step Learning: We won't rush. We build your knowledge bit by bit until you feel like an expert.

Active Practice: You won't just sit and listen. We’ll solve problems, draft essays, and practise together.

Support for Everyone: I have lots of experience helping students with learning difficulties (SEND) and those who speak English as a second language.

The Details

Lessons: Usually 1 hour or 90 minutes—long enough to learn a lot, but short enough to stay focused.

Who it’s for: Anyone from age 14 up to University level.

Subjects: GCSE-Math and English, Business, Politics, Sociology, Essay Writing, and Research Skills.
