About Sophia
With over 4 years of tutoring experience and a BSc in Mathematics for Data Science, I specialize in helping middle school students who struggle with algebra. I know linear equations, polynomial expressions, and functions can feel overwhelming at first. That’s why I use a step-by-step approach to break each problem into manageable parts. My Maths teaching style is relaxed and application-focused. I like to connect algebra, functions, and discrete mathematics to coding logic. Programming analogies help students see maths as a natural part of computational thinking. I encourage learners to think step by step, just like writing code. Algorithmic reasoning becomes less abstract with clear, real-world examples. I enjoy supporting Architects who design big ideas and Proof Seekers who focus on logical detail. Every session builds confidence as well as problem-solving skills. Students learn that maths is not only about answers but also about reasoning.
