About Megan

Hi! I am a 22 year old University of Warwick graduate with a BA in Modern Languages with Linguistics. Having taken them at A level, the main languages I studied were French and Spanish. In my third year I participated in the Erasmus scheme and so I lived in France and attended a university in Normandy, studying mainly linguistics.

However my love for languages goes back much further than that! I've been learning French since I was 9 years old and started Spanish classes a few years after that. Always wanting to learn new languages I also took German beginner classes in my first and second years at university.

And now I hope that I can help you with your language learning journey :)

Prior to teaching on Tutorful, I volunteered as a classroom assistant in a secondary school- helping with both French and Spanish classes in every year group, giving one-to-one Spanish conversation exam practice, running lunch time revision clubs and carrying out mock speaking exams. I have also volunteered as a classroom assistant in French classes at primary school level, and so I have helped students of almost every language level.

Having been learning languages for over a decade I can also fully understand the struggles and challenges you may be facing with learning English and so would be more than happy and able to help you with these.

About the lesson

With regards to the content of tutoring sessions I am completely flexible and we can cover whatever you would find the most useful. For instance we could go over grammar concepts or have more of a focus on general conversation practice.

More specifically we could discuss newspaper or magazine articles or if there's a particular topic you need to know for an exam we could take a look at that.

If you would like I could also set homework to go over in a future class :)
