About Shakira
I am a first year student studying Criminology, and thus have a wide knowledge around social sciences, English and Written communcations. I also recetnly studied Religious Studies, Sociology and English Literature at A - Level achieving grades ABB. I am keen to pass on this knowledge to younger students, as written communication is becoming increasingly important in all academic areas and Professional careers.
am a friendly, patient and approachable individual and ensure students will feel
comfortable and safe in my presence. As I am a student myself I am also able to empathise
with the amount of pressure young students are under during the exam seasons, and thus I
am able to deal with any stress related issues they may have. I have aided my younger brother in mainly essay writing, forming an argument, as well as teaching spelling/ grammar.

My teaching methologology depends entirely on the student. I am likely to ask the student what they would specifically like to work on and what they think their weak areas are. I will then form a lesson structure from there, drawing from resources which helped me previpusly and also more relevant resources which have been recently published. I am more suited to students in Primary education and Secondary education years 7 to 9.
