About Laura
Hello! My name is Laura and I'm a third year undergraduate at the University of Birmingham studying Theoretical Physics. I'm on track for a 1st class degree. I obtained 4 A* grades in A Level Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Physics, so GCSE and A Level topics, and effective ways of teaching them, are very familiar to me. I am a patient and approachable tutor, and no question is a silly question to ask - I will always do my best to find a way of explaining that works for you.
During sixth form, I volunteered to be an Academic Mentor to younger students that were finding certain aspects of Maths or Physics challenging. My tutoring style is very much focused around what my pupil wants to achieve with my help. For example, I focused on exam technique practise with a student soon to take her GCSE maths exams, whereas with an AS Physics student who wanted help understanding difficult concepts, we revised topics at a slower pace to how they had been initially taught.
I am happy to tutor Maths and/or Physics from Year 7 right up to A Level. Please do not hesitate to contact me!
