About Talia

Hi! I’m Talia, a university student studying Applied Mathematics and Computer Science at University of South Africa.

I help students who feel lost, overwhelmed, or behind in Mathematical Literacy build confidence step by step. My lessons focus on making Maths Lit simple, practical, and less stressful.

I understand that many students struggle because concepts move too fast in class. That’s why I explain work patiently using real-life examples and easy methods that actually make sense.

I also have experience helping struggling learners improve their understanding and confidence in Mathematics.

About the lesson

Each lesson is tailored to the student’s needs, whether they need help understanding a topic for the first time, preparing for exams, improving confidence, or catching up on missed work.

I focus on:

* Breaking difficult concepts into simple steps
* Using practical real-life examples
* Improving problem-solving skills
* Building confidence and independent thinking
* Practising exam-style questions and techniques

I teach both CAPS and IEB Mathematical Literacy for Grades 10–12.

Lessons can include:

* Assignment guidance
* Revision sessions
* Weekly support lessons

My goal is not just to help students pass, but to help them actually understand what they are doing so maths becomes less stressful and more manageable.
