About Elliot

I hold a First-Class Honours degree in Economics from the University of Liverpool and bring extensive international tutoring experience. Over the past year working in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, I have delivered hundreds of hours of 1:1 lessons to over 25 international school students across IGCSE, A-Level, and IB Business and Economics.

Having navigated A-Level Economics myself before achieving top marks at university, I understand how overwhelming the content can feel. My teaching philosophy combines structured content mastery with targeted exam technique in a patient, judgement-free environment. I pride myself on being approachable, reliable, and deeply invested in helping every student build confidence and achieve their target grades.

About the lesson

My Methodology & Approach:
My goal is to make complex Economics and Business concepts easy to understand and apply. Having completed A-Level Economics myself before earning my degree, I know firsthand how overwhelming the subject matter can feel at first.

My lessons focus on two core pillars:
Conceptual Mastery: Breaking down dense theoretical content using real-world examples, visual aids, and interactive discussion so you never feel afraid to ask questions.

Exam Technique: Translating understanding into top-tier exam answers. We look closely at structure, command words, evaluation techniques, and mark schemes to maximise your marks on exam day.

Who the Lessons Are For & Structure:
Target Students: Secondary school and college students studying IGCSE, A-Level, or IB (SL/HL) Business and Economics.

Lesson Length: Standard sessions are 60 minutes long (ideal for focused, structured learning), with 90-minute or 2-hour sessions available for intensive exam preparation or revision blocks.

Qualifications & Experience:
Qualifications: First-Class Honours degree in Economics from the University of Liverpool.

Experience: 1+ years of full-time, 1:1 international tutoring experience in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, working with 25+ students across various exam boards.

Track Record: Proven success helping students build confidence from their baseline levels and achieve strong grade improvements in their IGCSE and IB modules.

My tutoring style is friendly, patient, and completely judgement-free—I aim to create a comfortable environment where you can build genuine confidence in your subject.
