About Abdulmalik
Teaching is something I genuinely enjoy, particularly the opportunity to contribute to a student's education and personal development.
I consider myself approachable, dependable and conscientious in the way I work. I value honesty, professionalism and treating every student and family with respect.
I recognise that inviting a tutor into a child's education is an important decision for any parent. For that reason, I believe in setting clear expectations from the outset, maintaining appropriate professional boundaries and being transparent about what I can offer.
I am also a firm believer that education extends beyond academic achievement. Qualities such as discipline, curiosity, good manners and a willingness to learn are equally important, and these are values I seek to uphold in my own conduct.
Above all, I want parents to feel that they are dealing with someone responsible, trustworthy and genuinely invested in their child's education.

My approach is straightforward: I first establish what a student already knows, identify any gaps in their understanding and work through them at a pace that suits their ability.
I believe students learn best when explanations are clear, lessons are well organised and they feel comfortable asking questions. I take particular care to ensure that students genuinely understand what they are learning before moving on to more challenging material.
How I teach
Lessons are tailored to each student's age, ability and learning needs.
Difficult concepts are broken down into simple, manageable steps.
Previous topics are regularly revisited to strengthen understanding and retention.
Students are encouraged to ask questions and learn from mistakes without feeling embarrassed or pressured.
Progress is monitored so that lessons remain purposeful and areas requiring further attention are addressed.
Parents are kept informed about their child's progress, strengths and areas for improvement.
Subjects covered
English: Reading, writing, spelling, grammar, comprehension and communication skills.
Maths: Core mathematical skills, problem-solving, numeracy, algebra and building a secure understanding of mathematical concepts.
My commitment to students and parents
I take my responsibility as a tutor seriously. Parents should feel confident that their child is receiving attentive, consistent and purposeful teaching.
My aim is not simply to complete lessons, but to ensure that students leave each session having understood something, strengthened a skill or made meaningful progress.
I welcome students of different abilities, including complete beginners and those who require additional patience, encouragement or support.
