I am a teacher who values clarity, honesty and real understanding. I don’t believe in rigid or mechanical teaching, and I always try to make learning feel natural and engaging.
My goal is not only to help you improve your score, but also to help you understand how English and the IELTS exam actually work. I want my students to feel confident, not just prepared.

I am a University of Sydney graduate (Dalyell Scholar) and currently studying Sociology Honours at ANU. I previously worked full-time as an IELTS Reading and Writing teacher at New Oriental, one of the most well-known IELTS training institutions in China. I also hold a Cambridge TKT teaching certificate.
My teaching focuses on helping students improve efficiently with clear strategies rather than memorisation. I always explain the “why” behind each question, so students can truly understand and apply what they learn. Many of my students have achieved their target scores within a short period, including Band 7.5 and 8.
I specialise in Reading and Writing, but also have proven experience in improving Listening and Speaking, sometimes helping students increase one band in just a few weeks.
My lessons are suitable for students of all levels and ages. During my time at New Oriental, I have taught a wide range of students, from young learners as young as 10 to adults in their 30s and beyond. Some were complete beginners, while others were already at an advanced level aiming for high scores.
