About Amy
I've been tutoring for almost two years now and I've loved using the skills I built in my degree (First-class from KCL) to see students grow in their essay writing and analysis abilities. My A-Level pupils especially have said lessons have really helped them grasp and think through complex topics - we always have very interesting discussions in lessons! I've now developed lots of resources and strategies for building the necessary skills to excel in RE, working with multiple exam boards and ability levels. I'm passionate about seeing students achieve the very best they're able to achieve.

I tailor lessons to individual pupils' needs, but I generally balance a skills-based approach with ensuring strong understanding, as the analysis and essay-writing skills Religious Studies requires can be widely applied beyond school, and it is not as much knowledge required to get the higher grades as the ability to apply that knowledge to create a strong argument. This means we'll go over the topics and content required, but also practice writing and planning evaluative essays so that it becomes second nature by exam time!
