About Sara
Can I tell you a secret? English is not my first language! There, I said it! I was actually born in Mexico, so Spanish is my first language. When I was growing up, my family moved to lots of different countries so learning languages was very important for me.
I have lived in the UK for almost 10 years now and it definitely feels like home. My English is obviously much better now than when I first arrived. It wasn't easy, but it was definitely worth it. Now, I like to help others to learn. I understand your struggles, I know it isn't always easy, that's why I am here to help.
Also, I love cats! When I teach in a school my students can see it because I like to wear cat pins (that my students have given me!). So... get ready for lots of cat examples!

The most important thing when learning a language is feeling comfortable, so the lessons will depend completely on what works best for you and what you want to work on!
I have experience teaching all levels (from absolute beginners to advanced) in both groups and one-to-one. I have a CELTA and an MA in Linguistics and TESOL, so I know how to teach grammar, vocabulary and any other things to do with language. I am familiarised with some English exams (Cambridge, IELTS, etc.) so I can offer some advice but I prefer focusing on General English.
Our lessons will probably be between 30mins and 2 hours. We can focus on specific skills (e.g. Speaking, Reading...) or look a bit at everything.
