Philippa was my World Literature Professor during the Spring 2024 semester at Rowan University. To say she is a phenomenal instructor would be an understatement. Not only did she break down complex ideas into easily digestible material, she went out of her way to give background and historical context to every book and lesson she taught. I grew so much as a student and reader under her instruction. Throughout my time with her, I could both see and feel just how passionate she was about her craft, and how important it was to her that her students both succeeded and had fun while doing so. Philippa was not only a great professor, but a kind person. Often times she would let us know of her unwavering support (and belief in us), as well as remind us of her office hours if we had any concerns, not just about her class. I would recommend Philippa to anyone seeking a thoughtful, hardworking and effective instructor.
