About Ekarsi
Hello! I’m Ekarsi, a Master’s student in Bioinformatics at the University of Birmingham with a strong foundation in engineering and a deep passion for teaching. My academic background allows me to combine analytical thinking with scientific understanding — something I love sharing with my students. I believe that learning is most effective when it feels engaging and meaningful. My aim is to make complex ideas simple and relatable, helping students not only to prepare for exams but to truly understand the subject and enjoy the process. Teaching, to me, is about more than passing on knowledge — it’s about building confidence and curiosity. I strive to create a friendly and encouraging environment where students feel supported, motivated, and capable of achieving their goals. Through my online lessons in Maths, Biology, and related sciences, I hope to inspire students to see learning as a journey of growth and discovery.

Hi! I’m Ekarsi, a Master’s student in Bioinformatics at the University of Birmingham with an engineering background. My approach to tutoring is friendly, structured, and completely tailored to each student’s learning style and goals. I believe that understanding the “why” behind a concept is just as important as knowing “how” to apply it. I focus on building strong conceptual foundations first, then move towards problem-solving, exam techniques, and confidence-building through regular practice and feedback. My lessons are typically 60 minutes long, although I can adjust the duration based on the student’s needs and attention span. I make use of interactive explanations, visual aids, and past paper questions to make the learning process engaging and effective — especially in subjects like Maths, Biology, and general Science. Lesson Plan 1. Warm-up & Recap (5–10 mins): A short review or quiz to reinforce understanding and spot any learning gaps. 2. Core Learning (30–35 mins): Clear, step-by-step explanations using examples, visuals, and real-life applications. 3. Practice & Application (10–15 mins): Solving questions and applying new concepts to build exam confidence. 4. Feedback & Summary (5 mins): Reviewing progress, setting small goals, and preparing for the next session. I have prior experience helping classmates and younger students understand complex topics during my undergraduate and postgraduate studies. This experience has taught me how to simplify difficult ideas, adapt to different learning paces, and motivate students to reach their full potential. My lessons are designed for GCSE and A-Level students, or anyone who wants to strengthen their understanding of Maths, Biology, or related sciences. Whether you’re preparing for exams or simply looking to boost confidence, I’ll support you every step of the way.
