About James

My name is James and I am a native English speaker, born, raised and educated in London, England. I hold a degree in English Literature from the University of Greenwich, which includes modules in journalism, media and communications. I also hold a master's degree in History from the University of Greenwich and a certificate from Wuhan University, China, confirming proficient language skills in Mandarin Chinese. I love travelling the world and meeting new people. For me, there is no greater enjoyment to be found in life than communicating with people. In terms of my personality, I am friendly, professional and down to earth. I finished my Master of Arts Degree at the University of Greenwich, London, in July 2017. In terms of my language experience, I was sent to Wuhan, China, to learn Chinese on behalf of the British Government for six months in order to use my acquired language skills to promote and raise the profile of British culture overseas, in places the British have never held a presence before. Wuhan University is one of the top universities in China, and I was taught Mandarin Chinese here every day during my time there. My skills acquired are advanced. Aside from Mandarin Chinese, I possess language skills in Spanish, German, Slovenian and English. I am also presently learning four languages; Hindustani Urdu, Romanian, Bulgarian and Swahili. I have an affinity for languages and I excel at communicating efficiently with people. I have experience teaching English as a foreign language in China, and I am presently based in London. I look forward to hearing from you and teaching you the wonders of English.
